VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
According to Spanish national law, this type of crime encompasses any crime carried out against women based on their gender, often by a partner or ex-partner, with any proceedings pertaining to said crimes taking place via the Spanish Courts of Violence Against Women (Juzgados de Violencia Sobre la Mujer).
As a broader concept and as per international regulations, gender violence is all types of violence against a woman due to the fact that she is a woman.
This includes other behaviors that do not have to take place between partners or ex-partners, such as street harassment or work discrimination.
Such issues and others (threats and harassment, stalking, injuries, habitual abuse, sexual aggression, vicarious violence and violence against children) are a prevalent part of our expertise as well as our main focus.
